White flowers on the Amur Maple make it a pleasingly fragrant tree in April and May. It is a good choice for a small tree as it grows no taller than 20' and 30' wide, providing dense shade for its size. For this reason, it's a good container plant, also because it tolerates wind, dry soil, and heavy pruning. In fall, its scarlet leaves are stunning.
