R. Anthodendron x Girard 'Crimson'
Red Azalea Mid season bloomer Extremely cold hardy Has large beautifully colored blooms with sturdy branches. They have a medium sized growth habit allowing them to grow well in the South as well as colder climates. (Developed by Peter Girard, Ohio)
Prepare holes with a mixture of organic compost, especially decayed pine needles and leaves. This promotes drainage and adds acidity, two necessities of growing healthy azaleas.
Prune immediately after bloom period (June - July)
