Japanese Boxwood is a slow-growing, dense, rounded broadleaf evergreen shrub. Its foliage turns bronze in winter
It is less susceptible to pests than common boxwood, although root-rot is a problem in soggy soil.
We think Japanese boxwood is the best choice for the lower South where humidity, heat, and sometimes alkaline soil do not allow common boxwood to grow well. *Deer Resistant*
