Pyrus pyrifolia 'Hosui'
Arguably the best flavored of all Asian pears, Hosui is the best-selling variety in Japan. It definitely is an excellent quality, medium-to-large, Sweet fruit that ripens in early August. It has brown-to-russet skin and white flesh.
It needs a pollinator, such as 20th Century or Bartlett.
Heat tolerant, so it does well in the South. * Deer May Browse * Having a metal, surrounding cage is suggested.
