Betula nigra 'BNMTF'
The Dura Heat River Birch, which is slightly more heat tolerant than the species, is a multi-stemmed tree with the characteristic, papery, river birch bark, which exfoliates at an early age.
Its showy pale yellow, yellow-green, and pale-green flowers appear in April or May. It has closely spaced, glossy, dark-green leaves that turn yellow in the fall.
