The long-lived Sugar Maple casts cool shade in spring and summer. Famous for its crimson and golden fall foliage. Grows 60-75Õ feet tall with a symmetrical shape.
It is the one tapped for sap to process into maple syrup. Margiins between lobes are shallow and smooth, which distinquishes them from leaves of the similar looking red maple which has serrated lobe margins.
