Camellia sasanqua 'Cleopatra'
Very compact, vigorous and free flowering, Cleopatra was imported from Japan to the USA about 1929 by K. Sawada of Overlook Nursery, Alabama.
This lovely camellia has medium-sized, single, soft-pink blooms, each with 7 petals: 5 large and 2 small. As with other sasanquas, it can be planted out in full sun but does need some afternoon shade. Exposure to full winter sun and cold wind can hurt it. *Deer May Browse*
