Caryopteris x clandonensis 'Blue Mist'
Blue Mist Caryopteris, or Bluebeard, is a a dense, mound-forming, deciduous shrub of the verbena family. The leaves bear auxiliary and terminal cymes of powder-blue, aromatic flowers in late Summer and early Autumn. It is sometimes called the blue spirea.
Tolerates some drought. If necessary to control shape of growth, prune in the early spring. Blooms on new growth.
In a particularly cold winter, stems will die back to the ground, but plant will regenerate vigorously.
