Ilex x Mary Nell

This female clone is upright, pyramidal holly that yields brilliant dark-red berries in the winter (heavy bearing).  Very nice holly specimen.

Its evergreen leaves are a dark, glossy green with sharp spines on the margins.

The parentage of this cultivar is believed to be Ilex [(cornuta x pernyi) x latifolia].

It was introduced in 1962 by Tom Dodd Nurseries, Semmes, Alabama.
