This patented selection was discovered by Ray Bracken in a seedling row at a nursery in Easley, South Carolina in 1968. Bracken's Brown Beauty is distinguished by its very dense pyramidal habit, prolific flowering, and attractive brown-backed foliage.
Flowers are half the size of typical M. grandilflora and it is moderately remondant (blooming more than once per season). This cultivar is very hardy, having withstood -24 degrees F. Note: If it's very happy, where its at, it has been known to reach 80' in height.
*Deer Resistant* Attracts: Birds, Bees & Butterflies
