Miscanthus sinensis 'Gracillimus'
Maiden Grass, a large ornamental, perennial grass, forms a 10-foot, fountain-like sculpture in the landscape.
Its striking reddish-brown blooms appear in the fall, then turn beige, or straw-colored, along with the grass itself for exceptional winter interest. Looks great when backed by evergreens.
Give it room to grow. In late winter, cut it back to the ground to make way for new shoots. Eventually, it will need to be dug up and divided.
* Deer Resistant * Attracts: Bees & Butterflies
