Sarcococca hookeriana humulis
Himalayan Sweet Box, or Sarcococca, is a dwarf, clump-forming, evergreen groundcover with erect shoots and oblong, glossy dark leaves.
In Late Winter to Early Spring, it bears clusters of fragrant, white flowers with pink tinges, followed by dark blue-black berries. It spreads by suckers, maturing at about 18" high.
This is a shade-loving plant. Use it as an underplanting, or place it among other low-growing plants with contrasting forms and colors.
