Vitis rotundifolia 'Jumbo'
The Jumbo Muscadine is a vigorous, woody vine that produces large clusters of huge, purplish-black fruit late in the season. The Jumbo is a female that will need a self-fertile pollinator. Any self-fertile muscadine will work, for example, Carlos or Nesbitt. Dark purple, almost black grapes are excellent for snacking, jams, jellies, and preserves. The Jumbo tolerates the cold well and produces grapes that can be the size of a golf ball.
