Corylus avellana 'Contorta'
Curiously twisted branches are effective against the winter snow. Moist to wet soil, sun to partial shade.
It's admired for its twisted, gnarled branches, which make it an attractive conversation piece even with its limbs are bare foliage in winter. It's subzero hardy and grows well in sun or shade.
