Pyrus communis 'Bartlett'
This is the most important variety in the U.S. Medium to large pear, most commonly used for canning.
Skin is yellow with white smooth flesh. Needs protection from fire blight with Agrimycin spray. Ripens Mid-August. Requires a Moonglow, Ayers, Orient, Kieffer or Baldwin to cross pollinate.
