Pyrus communis 'Kieffer'
Produces Medium to Large pear.
Good for canning and preserves. Very firm fruit. Harvest Mid-September - Mid-October
Resistant to Fire Blight
Requires Pollination with another European Pear (like the Bartlett) or another Kieffer. The Kieffer pear will pollinate a Moonglow pear but a Moonglow pear will not pollinate a Kieffer pear.
Tolerates Drought & Flooding (once established) * Deer May Browse *
