Apricot Surprise is one of the –Northern Lights” series of extremely cold-hardy azaleas developed in Minnesota. It is a hardy, vigorous, deciduous shrub covered in light-orange flowers in spring. Rich green summer foliage turns brilliant shades of yellow, red and bronze in fall. This fragrant azalea requires no pruning to retain its good shape. Its average height and width are 3-4 feet, but by 10 years in age, depending on growing conditions, it can reach 5-7 feet.
