Ligularia Othello is most appreciated for its striking clump of large round, reddish-purple-tinged foliage on purple stems.
From late summer to fall, it sends up tall scapes of golden-yellow, daisy-like flowers. In our Zone 7b, this impressive plant is well used in shady, moist gardens and waterside plantings. Don't let it dry out.
Try planting it with ferns and sedges.
