Cycas revoluta
A very desirable evergreen plant displaying a stout trunk and long leaves with many narrow stiff leaflets. The leaves of this palm-like tree form an open rosette. Use for tropical accent and specimen.
Can live to 80 years old.
Temperatures in the high teens may frost-damage leaves which may turn yellow or brown. Remove these to reduce stress on the plant and encourage new leaves in the spring.
Note: If temperatures fall below 15, the sago may die, however, as long as the trunk and leaf crown is hard wood, it should recover. MUST be protected if planted in NC ~ hardy in zones 8 - 9
