Iris 'Sinfonietta'

Louisiana iris Sinfonietta is a beardless iris with drooping standards on 3-4” stems. Its breeder claims it is a –true blue.” Sorry, no, but it is bluer than most. We would describe its flowers as bluish purple with yellow throats; they open up starting with the lower blooms. The bright-green foliage is narrow and upright. This class of iris does not demand very wet soil, but doesn't like to dry out compltely. In harsh winter conditions it might need some winter mulch. Poisonous if eaten.
