Evergreen shrub maturing at 4-6 feet tall with a similar spread. Grows well in most conditions. Prefers afternoon shade in Piedmont on North Carolina and further east.
White bottlebrush-like blooms appear in the spring.
Care: Because they are evergreen, they may be lightly pruned at any time, but the best time is from late February through the Fourth of July.
Heavy pruning should be done in March to allow for two more growths before frost.
