Ajuga reptans 'Valfredda'
Valfredda (trade name Chocolate Chip), is most noted for its extremely dwarf habit and chocolate-colored leaves with purple highlights.
It requires about 3-4 hours of sun per day to produce its blue flowers. Performs best if not exposed to hot afternoon sun. Not as fast-growing as some other ajugas; use in small areas.
For quick cover, space plants 6" - 9" apart. Soggy conditions will give it crown rot.
