The Pocahontas Lilac is an early bloomer with very fragrant, deep reddish-purple, single flowers. A large-growing lilac reaching heights and spreads of 10-12 feet. If you like butterflies, so does this lilac. Extremely cold hardy to zone 2. Performs best in moist well drained soil in full sun.
