Platycodon grandiflorus 'Shell Pink'
Platycodon is one of the last perennials to emerge from the ground in spring. Does well placed in the front to mid border, in rock or alpine gardens.
The common name balloon flower refers to the balloon shape the flower has before it opens wide in its full splendor. Fun for kids and adults. Great as a cut flower but singe the stem end with a flame to prolong life.
