Prunus laurocerasus 'Schipkaensis'
Schip (”skip”) Laurel makes a good specimen plant or, when grouped, a moderate-height hedge or screen It does well in either full sun or with partial shade; will tolerate heavy shade farther south.
Good drainage is essential.
Schip produces showy, strongly fragrant, creamy-white flowers in spring. Later in the summer, its black drupes will attract birds.
