Prunus laurocerasus
English Laurel, also called Cherry Laurel, is a large, fast-growing, broadleaf-evergreen shrub that has dense branches and dark green leaves, making it ideal for clipped hedges.
Its long racemes of tiny white flowers, which smell powerfully sweet, transform to purple to black drupes in summer.
