Rhododendron ‘Conles’
Derived from the Southern Indica and Kurume, this encore hybrid is native to Louisiana. The encores' are the most sun tolerant of the azalea family. The Empress Encore is part of the medium encore azalea class that is catchy with semi-double blooms twice a year. 'Empressively' pink, these flamingo beauties make excellent combination designs and work well independently as accents, foundations, or edge ornaments.
The Empress Encore is compact, known to attract butterflies, and very little pruning is required, deeming this plant a low maintenance variety.
