Derived from the Southern Indica and Kurume, this encore hybrid is native to Louisiana. The encores' are the most sun tolerant of the azalea family. The Lilac Encore is part of the small encore azalea class that is moderate with single blooms twice a year. Lavishly lavender with dark purple specks, these beauties make excellent combination designs and work well independently as accents, foundations, or edge ornaments.
The Lilac Encore is compact, known to attract butterflies, and very little pruning is required, deeming this plant a low maintenance variety.
