Rhododendron ‘Conleo’
Derived from the Southern Indica and Kurume, this encore hybrid is native to Louisiana. The encores' are the most sun tolerant of the azalea family. The Monarch Encore is part of the large encore azalea class that is an extrovert with semi-double blooms twice a year. Like an autumn sunset with coral red petals, these beauties make excellent combination designs and work well independently as accents, foundations, or edge ornaments.
The Monarch Encore is compact, known to attract butterflies, and very little pruning is required, deeming this plant a low maintenance variety.
