Cornus x Rutdan

An abundant flowering variety, Celestial makes a wonderful display of white bracts in the summer after other dogwoods have passed their prime.

Bracts are rounded. Blooms appear 2-3 days after the Cornus florida has finished blooming.**Celestial is a cross between cornus florida and cornus kousa. It’s blooms have around bract and not a pointed one like the kousa. **

The Kousa dogwood has a more pointed bloom petal where the other dogwoods are more rounded. The Kousa blooms about a month later than the others and can be more shrub like.
