Lycium barbarum 'Firecracker'
Purple blooms in late Spring to early Summer. Produces Orangy-Red berries in late Summer to early Autumn. The berries have a sweet & slightly tangy taste. Berries are said to be extremely healthy.
The ideal soil pH for growing gojis ranges from 6.5 to 7.5. Plant the shrubs in fertile, well-drained soil. Full sun is best, but gojis will tolerate some shade.
Water Gojis well during the first year of growing. Drought-tolerant once they’ve been established.
Keep space about 4' to 5' apart when planting. Give plenty of room to develop (this also makes the harvest easier to gather).
New shrubs will grow from the base of the plant.
*Deer may graze the fruit*
