Zelkova serrata 'Green Vase'

Japanese Zelkova has been heavily pushed as a substitute for its close relative, the American Elm. The foliage, similar to that of elms, turns shades of yellow or red in fall, the most common color being russet.

With age, the gray bark takes on an attractive molting. A vigorous vase shaped tree with upright arching branches that can reach 60' to 80' in height with a spread of 40' to 50'.

Excellent shade tree. Green Vase grows taller than 'Village Green'.                          Excellent tree to line a driveway.
