This evergreen perennial features tiny, narrow oval leaves with a strong lemony scent and flavor, most noticeable after blooming. In early summer, small pale lilac tubular flowers appear at the tips of the stems, attracting bees and butterflies.

Thanks to its strong fragrance, it can help repel common garden pests such as mosquitoes, cabbage worms, whiteflies, and aphids. Prune after flowering to maintain a tidy shape, control spreading, and encourage new growth.
